Arrival Details and Travel Directions
………….

Arrival: You may occupy Groves Dyke after 3 pm on your arrival date. I will meet you there between 3 and 4pm. If you expect to arrive after 4, please phone 01947 810220.
…………………

Arriving by Train: Groves Dyke is about 300 metres from Sleights Railway Station, on the scenic Network Rail line from Middlesbrough to Whitby. There are 4 return trains most days and I can collect / deliver your luggage free, if arranged with me in advance.
…………….

Arriving by Car on the A169 from Pickering or York: Drive downhill through the village of Sleights, leave the village and cross the River Esk bridge. Immediately AFTER this bridge turn left into a private drive sign-posted ‘St Oswalds Pastoral Retreat.’
…………………

Arriving by Car on the A171 from Whitby or Guisborough: Leave Whitby or Guisborough on the A171. At the roundabout 2 miles outside Whitby turn off the A171 and take the A169 to Pickering. Drive downhill towards the River Esk and Sleights. At the bottom of the hill and immediately BEFORE the River Esk bridge, turn right into a private drive sign-posted ‘St Oswald’s Pastoral Retreat’. Please be careful at this junction – it is advisable to slow down and start signalling ‘right’ on entering the 40 mph zone.
………………

Groves Dyke Holiday Cottage is on the right of Woodlands Drive, about 100 metres in from the public road (i.e. the second tarmac drive on the right as you go along Woodlands Drive). It is the nearest half of the semi-detached houses. Please ring the electric bell.
…………………

You can unload your car as near the door as possible and then move it a few yards to park in the Groves Dyke car park, alongside your conservatory and deck.

………………

I wish you a happy holiday and I look forward to seeing you soon….
